A landslide hit four houses which are located at RT 06/01 Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Jatinegara, East Jakarta, following heavy rain in Jakarta. Although there is no casualty, dozens of people lost their homes.

Based on the information gathered, the landslide occurred around 9 AM and quickly raze 4 houses about five meters from Ciliwung River.

Those four houses are owned by Jhon Satar Simanjuntak (50), Roni SK (53), Gustav Siringgo Ringgo (54) and Ade Zebua (50). The badly damaged houses are experienced by Jhon Satar and Roni SK.

Head of Kampung Melayu Urban Village, Bambang Pangestu stated 30 officers of Satpol PP and Fire Management and Rescue Sub-Department deployed to evacuate the houses and fallen tree in the field.

"The tree is big and must be evacuated immediately. If not, the tree could carried away by water and endanger other citizen houses," he expressed.
