35,208 People in Central Jakarta Targeted to Undergo TB Check-Up

The Central Jakarta Health Sub-agency (Dinkes) is targeting to provide Tuberculosis (TB) symptom check-up services to 35,208 residents from eight sub-districts spread across Central Jakarta.

It has been opened since early January 2023 and is targeted to be a routine agenda

Rismasari, Sub-agency Head of Central Jakarta Health expressed that his party had opened a TB check-up service to the public, even though the Jakarta Health Office (Dinkes) has yet to set minimum service standards.

"Based on the TB target from the Health Ministry's projections, 35,208 people need to be served," she expressed, Saturday (1/14).

She expressed that the service was provided free of charge so it could detect the disease more widely. The services include rapid molecular tests which have been routinely carried out in the last few years.

"It has been opened since early January 2023 and is targeted to be a routine agenda," she stressed.

According to him, the molecular rapid test aimed to detect the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis germ in people's bodies.

"If the examination has results, it will be followed up further," she stated.
