10,170 Trees in North Jakarta Pruned Throughout 2022

Last year, 85 trees fell and 42 others were broken during heavy rain accompanied by wind

The North Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency has recorded that as many as 10.170 trees prone to fall have been pruned from January to December 2022.

North Jakarta Parks and City Forest Sub-agency's Lane Division Head, Priharto Budi Susilo said tree pruning was carried out to anticipate fallen trees at a later time.

26,977 Trees in South Jakarta Pruned During 2022

"Last year, 85 trees fell and 42 others were broken during heavy rain accompanied by wind," he expressed, Monday (1/16).

Of 10,170 trees pruned, 1,801 were pruned at minor level, 5,625 were pruned at medium level, and 2,340 were pruned at heavy level.

"Then 277 trees were cut down," he added.

He mentioned at least 714 trees were pruned every month with the highest number in November 2022 which reached 1,087 trees.
