Children Enjoy Lion Dance Parade at LRT Station

This year's Imlek (Chinese New Year) Celebration in Jakarta is even more lively with the performance of the Lion Dance Parade displayed by PT LRT Jakarta.

I was quite surprised when I just got home from work by taking the LRT and immediately saw the lion dance

It can be witnessed by passengers and visitors for free at Velodrome Station and Boulevard Utara Station starting from 1 PM to 5 PM.

Mishelina (38), a resident of Rawamangun, East Jakarta admitted that together with his son, Ekal (6), they watched the Lion Dance Parade at the Velodrome Station.

"I was quite surprised when I just got home from work by taking the LRT and immediately saw the lion dance. After arriving home, I immediately took my son to watch the lion dance at the Velodrome Station," she expressed, Sunday (1/22).

According to her, it was quite entertaining for children because shows like this are rare to find. It was very good and hoped that it could be held regularly every year.

"It can be a lesson for children that the lion dance is part of religious and cultural tolerance," she added.

The same statement also came from Aisyah (41), a resident of Pegangsaan Dua, North Jakarta, who came with her three children.

He was happy and her trip to the Velodrome Station was not in vain because his children were so excited to watch the Lion Dance Parade.

"Today is a holiday. So, many parents take their children for a walk. This is very good. The attractions also make many children happy," she uttered.

Zidan (35), a resident of Jalan Pemuda X, Rawamangun, felt very entertained and proud because his child could witness the lion dance action directly.

"My child was scared but he was still curious to see it. He said it looked like a cat doll. Hope it can be held again next year," he closed.
