Dharma Jaya Segitiga Temple Seems Crowded with Congregations

Chinese citizens were seen continuing to crowd the Dharma Jaya Segitiga Temple in Sunter Agung area, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta. They come one after another to offer prayers and wishes for this Chinese New Year or Imlek blessings.

They arrived the day already before Imlek

Dharma Jaya Segitiga Temple Chairman, Djaya Gunawan expressed hundreds of people has been packing this temple since Saturday (1/21) night. This year's Chinese New Year was a little different than the previous year because the congregation was more crowded and solemn.

"They arrived the day already before Imlek but it was quite busy because its celebration fell on a holiday," he expressed, Sunday (1/22).

People Continues to Pack Amurva Bhumi Temple for Imlek Blessings

He explained the temple is open from 5 AM to 8 PM. Previously, the temple worker had carried out the rupang (statue) activity together with officials from the urban village.

"They (congregation) hope that Jakarta will be safer, more prosperous, prosperous, and avoid disasters. This year is symbolized by the Year of the Rabbit with the hope that Jakarta residents will be happier," he explained.

Sunter Agung Urban Village Head, Danang Wijanarka expressed his party had been monitoring and guarding the temple last night by deploying 10 Satpol PP personnel.

"Sunter Agung has five temples, but only the Dharma Jaya Segitiga and Mudita Center temples celebrate Imlek," he admitted.

He hoped that this year's Imlek could give happiness and blessings to Jakartans to be more prosperous.

"Hope Jakarta and its residents will be even more successful," he hoped.
