Channel Dredging Work on Jalan Teuku Cik Ditiro Being Accelerated

The water channel dredging work on Jalan Teuku Cik Ditiro, RT 01/02, Gondangdia, Menteng, Central Jakarta continues to be accelerated.

The mud thickness reaches 15 centimeters

Menteng Sub-district Water Channel (SDA) Executing Unit Head, Yopi Maidiza Siregar expressed that the dredging work at Jalan Teuku Cik Ditiro is carried out to follow-up on residents' requests, as the mud was already very thick.

December, Halim Perdanakusuma Reservoir Construction Completed

"Through 12 personnel, this work has been ongoing since January 19, 2023. Until now, it is still under process," he expressed, Monday (1/23).

He explained that the channel that has 270 meters long, 60 centimeters wide, and 120 centimeters high is dredged manually using hoes, crowbars, breaker, and hammers.

"The mud thickness reaches 15 centimeters. Today, the progress is 22.22 percent," he expressed.

RW 02 Gondangdia Chairman, Roni appreciated the personnel performance who swiftly followed up on residents' requests regarding dredging of the channel.

"Finally, the channel is finally drained. Hope our area can be free from inundation," he hoped.

He also urged locals not to litter into the channel.

"And must also actively maintain the cleanliness of the channel together," he stressed.
