City to Manages Flood at 8 Prone Areas

"We will also handle Greenvile area, precisely at Ratu Park, Jalan Panjang," he added.
Meanwhile at the mid-stream, he continued, the flood handling will be concentrated at Mampang, Kebon Baru, and Bidara Cina area. Especially at Mampang, his side planned to creates many infiltration wells to reduce puddle in the area. "Kebon Baru and Bidara Cina usually flooded when rainy season," he continued.
He stated, for the east-stream, the flood handling is focused at Kelapa Gading and Cawang area. His side will add 3 pump units on Jalan Boulevard Barat, Artha Gading and at the canal at Betik River. "Besides focused on the eight areas, we also will normalize the river from upstream to the downstream. After the normalization is done, we will dredge the river immediately," he stated.
At the same time, said Agus, his side will creates a folder in the northern region that 40 percent of its territory is lowland. While in the southern area that 60 percent of its territory has a high contour, we will built drainage horizontally and vertically. "We also will wake infiltration wells in several places in the southern area," he disclosed.
