Flood Handling, Djarot Asks to Use All Facilites

After monitoring Ciliwung River, Jakarta Vice Governor, Djarot Saiful Hidajat directly visited the flood location at Kodamar complex, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta that is still flooded with 60 cm water, Wednesday (2/11).

The flood still not recedes yet due the area is located on the ground concave. One mobile pump of Jakarta Fire Management and Safety Dept. were deployed to dry up the water. Not only that, two of three pumps in Sunter Timur 1 Kodamar Reservoir also has been functioned.
"I instructed to maximize all of our facilities, we should muster all of our strength," Djarot said, at Kodamar complex.
PLN Asked to Install Substation at Each Pump HouseTo prevent same condition, Djarot promised to add the pump number in the area. "As for the solution, we will add the pump here," he told.
The Sunter Timur 1 Kodamar pump house officers, Iskandar admitted, the pump deliberately turned off on last Monday (2/9) due to some electric transformer was submerged and fearing to explode if the pumps keep operated.
"We turned off the pump not because the electricity cut-off, but because some electric transformer was submerged," he said.
