City Gears Up to Support ITS Asia-Pacific Forum

Representatives of the Intelligent Transport System (ITS) Indonesia held an audience with Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (2/22).

This is the first opportunity for Indonesia

The topic of discussion in the meeting was the submission of Jakarta being selected as the host for the ITS Asia-Pacific Forum event in April 2024.

ITS Indonesia President, William P Sabandar said Jakarta was ready to accept the presence of ITS Asia-Pacific Forum participants from around the world, totaling 10,000 people. In the forum, there would be a demonstration of world class transportation progress in Jakarta.

Jakarta, West Java, and Bekasi Synergy to Build MRT

"As the host, this is the first opportunity for Indonesia to receive the trust of the world's global transportation community. Earlier, we received a very positive response from the Acting Governor. The forum will demonstrate progress in transportation technology in the world," he expressed.

He revealed Jakarta Provincial Government would provide full support in the success of this international event.

He added ITS Indonesia would form a joint committee with the Jakarta Government and during the global ITS congress in China

"In preparation for this, we plan to form a committee together with the Jakarta Government. And later during the ITS congress in China in October, the Indonesian delegation together with a team from Jakarta will introduce the ITS Asia-Pacific Forum," he stated.
