As many as 1,039 joint officers from various regional apparatus organizations (OPDs), national armies (TNI), and police, attended a ceremony for 2023 Lintas Jaya Operation which carries the theme 'Synergy in Handling Traffic Congestion'.
Jakarta Culture and Tourism Division Deputy Governor, Marullah Matali said this year's Lintas Jaya Operation aims to improve traffic obedience in the capital, including aspects of motor vehicle eligibility which have an important role in overseeing the realization of transportation safety.

He mentioned that the operation this time would target vehicles that were parked illegally and were in an unworthy condition, but would still be operating.
Based on the data in 2020, as many as 38,432 vehicles were netted, followed by 47,663 were netted in 2021, and 103,966 were netted in 2022.
"I really appreciate the Lintas Jaya Operations Team for taking action against violations in the last three years," he uttered.
Thereby, he urged the officers in the field to act humanely and educatively in a bid to raise resident awareness to always comply with safety and traffic safety requirements on the road.
Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo explained joint officers would be deployed to 40 main road corridors. Along with that, the Dynamic Operation would also be intensified, which is adjusted based on reports from the public.
"Usually, illegal parking and traffic violations happen according to the vehicle's roadworthiness," he explained.
Related to illegal parking, his party would take firm action, both on neighborhood roads and main roads.
"That's why we want the motorists to park in the available parking lot," he continued.
Polda Metro Jaya Traffic Director, Com. Pol. Latif Usman added that he will continue to support for the sake of a safe and smooth situation in Jakarta.
"Talking about illegal parking, we have CCTV cameras used in electronic traffic law enforcement (ETLE). We can directly coordinate with Dishub, including fines for violating motorists," he stated.
