DPRD Chairman Pras Hopes Pertamina Fuel Depot Fire Victims Die in Husnul Khotimah

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, popularly called Pras expressed his deep condolences for the fire incident at the fuel storage depot operated by state energy company Pertamina in Plumpang, North Jakarta, which occurred on Friday (3/3) night.

Hope those who died in Husnul Khotimah (with blessings ahead)

In his social media accounts, he invites the public to pray for the victims of the fire disaster.

"Hope those who died in Husnul Khotimah (with blessings ahead), all their deeds of worship will be accepted, get the best place in the sight of God and the families left behind will always be given the strength of patience and sincerity and for the affected victims who are still undergoing treatment at several hospitals, hopefully, they will be given a speedy recovery. Aamiin yarabbal'alamin," he wrote in his upload, Sunday (3/5).

He explained a similar incident had also hit the same location in 2009. This incident should be a lesson and evaluation to pay more attention to the buffer zone again. The depot should be in a safe area, away from residential areas.

"And the safety system must be improved again," he continued.

He believed that all related parties had highlighted this, thought about and provided the best solutions, and corrected deficiencies to prevent a similar disaster.

"Evacuating victims and handling affected residents have been conducted, together we work together to ensure that all the needs of our brothers and sisters are met," he closed.
