Heru Appreciates Firefighter's Service at National Fire and Rescue's 104th Anniversary

Jakarta Provincial Government together with Home Ministry held a commemoration ceremony for the National Level Fire and Rescue's 104th Anniversary at Silang Monas Field, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (3/1).

At that time, Home Minister Tito Karnavian acted as a Ceremonial Inspector, while Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Head Satriadi Billy Gunawan was a ceremonial leader.

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono appreciated firefighters who dedicated themselves to carrying out various kinds of important rescues related to human life.

"They don't give up on helping the community when a disaster occurs. Once again, I thank you," he explained, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

Jakarta Gulkarmat Agency Head, Satriadi Billy Gunawan revealed it was important to take advantage of this momentum not just for celebration, but also for quality improvement and professionalism.

"We have to take advantage of this momentum, how to increase our professionalism to the community. Firefighter is the fulfillment of obligations in the humanitarian field, namely help. It is very necessary to improve professionalism because it involves saving someone's life," he explained.

Home Minister, Muhammad Tito Karnavian also appreciated all firefighters and rescue workers who had carried out their duties and responsibilities professionally.

"The fighting spirit, dedication, and dedication of the firefighters in protecting the community must be maintained, and independence and professionalism can be continuously improved in order to provide the best service for the community," he said.

There were a series of activities to enliven this event, starting from National Firefighter Skill Competition, National Fire Safety Seminar, Fire Fighting Infrastructure Expo, Fire Safety Education, Mass Blood Donation, and Multi-Product Bazaar.

Aside that, a National Coordination Meeting for Fire and Rescue 2023 was also held in which the activity conducted a symbolic handover of fire fighting facilities and infrastructure grants to the local government.
