Car Free Day (CFD) along Jalan MH Thamrin - Jalan Sudirman was temporarily suspended on Sunday (3/19). It is done in connection with the commemoration of Nine Years of Village Law which will be attended by President Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo.

CFD at provincial level along Jalan MH Thamrin - Jalan Sudirman had to be canceled

Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) Head, Syafrin Liputo expressed, according to Gubernatorial Regulation No. 12/2016 on CFD, it has been regulated that CFD can be canceled if there are national/international activities/events at the same time and require traffic control and special safeguards.

He explained the Nine Years of the Village Law event will take place from 8 AM to 5 PM at the GBK Senayan Stadium (GBK) and there will be more than 120,000 visitors. To smoothen it, personnel will be alerted to the location.

"Based on the results of the CFD Working Team's meeting and decision, CFD at provincial level along Jalan MH Thamrin - Jalan Sudirman had to be canceled," he expressed, Friday (3/17).

He went on to say that there will be no traffic closure at CFD location (Jalan MH Thamrin - Jalan Jenderal Sudirman) at provincial and city levels on March 19, 2023.

He added that its implementation at the city level was set from the results of the coordination of the City Administration Level.

"CFD at city level on Mach 19 was set to be held on Jalan Danau Sunter Selatan, precisely at Simpang Karya Beton to Sunter GOR," he stated.
