380 Joint Personnel to Guard Kota Tua Area from PKL

As many as 380 joint personnel were ordered to maintain security, cleanliness, tidiness, and tranquility in the Kota Tua area, Taman Sari, West Jakarta, which is also known as Batavia Lama. The order itself was conveyed during a ceremony held in the Kota Tua area this morning.

They will guard for 24 hours

The ceremony was led by West Jakarta Mayor, Uus Kuswanto where he was saying that the 380 personnel that would be on standby were Satpol PP, Transportation Sub-agency, Bina Marga Sub-agency, Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency, Sosial Sub-agency, PPSU assisted by army/police.

"This aims to maintain security, tidiness, cleanliness, and peace in Kota Tua from street vendors (PKL), especially during Ramadan," he expressed, Thursday (3/30).

Those personnel would be deployed to Kali Besar Timur, Fatahillah Museum, Kota Intan, Jalan Kunir, etc. It is also to welcome the series of activities at the 2023 ASEAN Summit, where later delegates from ASEAN countries are also scheduled to visit the Kota Tua area.

“They will guard for 24 hours. We will socialize street vendors in persuasive and humane ways," he finished.
