Prices of Staple Foods in South Jakarta are Relatively Stable

As of Thursday (3/30) or the eighth day of Ramadan 1444 Hijri, the prices of staple foods at several traditional markets in South Jakarta are still relatively stable. The existing stock of goods is also very sufficient so far.

Food and Agriculture Division Head, Nila Kartina expressed that his party continues to monitor price movements and availability of food products in several traditional markets. Pasar Minggu Market Manager, Sion Purba expressed that during the week of Ramadan, there were several commodities whose prices decreased by around Rp 5,000 - 10,000.

Commodities that experienced price reductions included ordinary garlic (Honan), which fell by Rp 5,000 from Rp 35,000 per kilogram to Rp 30,000 per kilogram. curly red chili from Rp 40,000 to Rp 35,000 per kilogram.

Then, big red chili TW from Rp 50,000 to Rp 40,000 per kilogram, red cayenne pepper from Rp 80,000 to Rp 50,000 per kilogram, and red onion from Rp 40,000 to Rp 35,000 per kilogram.

As for rice, it is still relatively stable. For instance, rice IR-I (64) is still Rp 12,500 per kilogram, rice IR II (64) Rp 12,000 per kilogram, rice IR III (64) Rp 11,500 per kilogram.

Then rice muncul I Rp 13,000 per kilogram, IR 42 rice Rp 17,000 per kilogram, setra I rice Rp 13,500 per kilogram, bulk/yellow cooking oil Rp 15,500 per kilogram.

As for shoulder beef (Has) Rp 140,000 per kilogram, fore-thigh beef (Pure) Rp 130,000 per kilogram, broiler chicken Rp 40,000 per kilogram, and race chicken eggs Rp 30,000 per kilogram.

While other commodities, such as granulated sugar (GMP) Rp 15,000 per kilogram, wheat flour Rp 12,000 per kilogram, and 250-gram salt Rp 3,000, potatoes (medium size) fell from Rp 18,000 to Rp 17,000 per kilogram, fruit tomatoes Rp 15,000 per kilogram, peeled coconut Rp 10,000 per fruit and so forth.

Then, carp Rp 27,000 per kilogram, catfish Rp 27,000 per kilogram, and medium-sized milkfish Rp 40,000 per kilogram.

Goat meat is sold at Rp 150,000 per kilogram. In addition, 200-gram sweetened condensed milk with bendera brand is sold at Rp 12,500 per can, and 200-gram sweetened condensed milk with Enak brand is Rp 12,000 per can.

"Every day, we routinely monitor several sellers in this market," he concluded.
