KPKP Agency Assures Sufficient Staple Food Supply During Ramadan

The Jakarta Maritime, Fishery, and Food Security Agency (KPKP), investigated the stock availability and price stability of staple foods at Atom Market, Central Jakarta. "For this reason, Jakartans do not panic buy or carry out wholesale actions and shop wisely to help control the price of food needs during Ramadan," she asserted.
She added the price of staple foods in the first to second week of Ramadan experienced a trend of increasing prices. Then it usually goes down again and experiences a price hike the week before Idul Fitri, especially for beef and buffalo commodities.
Mulyana Hasbi, a beef seller at Aton Market admitted the beef price on the sixth day of fasting tends to be normal, which is around Rp 140,000/kg.
"I got meat stock from the Cakung RPH. Thank God, the supply of meat is currently sufficient," he closed.
