Jakarta Culture Agency Head, Iwan Henry Wardhana explained TIM's management basis is Guberntorial Regulation Number 63/2019 on Assignment to Jakarta - Propertindo Limited Liability Company (Regional Company) for the Revitalization of the Jakarta Art Center Taman Ismail Marzuki.
He explained TIM has a total area of 7.2 hectares, around 5 hectares is managed by Jakpro, while the remaining area is managed by the PKJ TIM Unit of Jakarta Culture Agency. He stated, the revitalization efforts started with planning, construction, management, and maintenance.
"Based on the regulation assignment, Jakpro is doing it all. Currently being reviewed how best to manage TIM in the future. By Acting Governor's direction when discussing with Mr. Hilmar Farid is that TIM's management is like a cultural investment, which can't be assessed from a profit standpoint," he explained.
In this case, the Culture Agency and BP BUMD are currently reviewing it from the perspective of TIM governance going forward according to the principles of maintaining integrity, and efficiency and not burdening Jakarta Government's budget allocation continuously.
His party had prepared for TIM's management through the plan to transform the PKJ TIM Unit into a BLUD.
“Thus far, the response has been positive. In the future, this is still a transition, hopefully the programs will continue to run. There are no worries that we won't be able to run. We just need good communication between DKJ, Jakarta Government, and Jakpro. We want TIM management to be by good principles, enabling feasibility in service, instead of in business," he finished.
