Damaged Roads on Jalan Pluit Raya Left by Flood Repaired

Due to flooding in the capital in early January, it has caused some roads damaged. They are located on Jalan Pluit Raya, Penjaringan, North Jakarta.

The repair began last Saturday (2/12) and finished last night

To anticipate unwanted things, those damaged roads along Jalan Pluit Raya, Jalan Pluit Raya, Jalan Pluit Selatan, and Jalan Pluit Timur were already repaired a week ago by North Jakarta Administration. 

The repair was done by patching up the holes with gravel and then asphalted and elevated as high as 30 centimeters. Additionally, the officers also cleaned up gutters alongside the roads.

W. Jakarta Already Improved 442 Damaged Roads

Head of Road and Bridge Maintenance for North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-Department, Arif Faizal Ritonga said the road often inundated due to lower position. While some drains are clogged by mud and cause water cannot flow optimally.

"That's why, we elevate the road up to 30 centimeters as well as clean the drains," he expressed, Sunday (3/1).

Ritonga disclosed, in overall, 3,000 square meters of the roads were repaired. After being elevated, the same thing is hoped could be prevented.

"The repair began last Saturday (2/12) and finished last night," he disclosed.
