Permabudhi Chairman Meets Acting Governor Heru at City Hall Today

The Indonesian Buddhist Association (Permabudhi) met with Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono at Jakarta City Hall, Tuesday (5/9).

Mr. Heru appreciates that we have done the right things

The meeting was held in the framework of friendly relations and received direction to be better at building the community, especially Buddhists and to work together in the Jakarta Provincial Government program.

Permabudhi Chairman, Philip K Widjaya stated he and the board reported Permabudhi's developments regarding the development of Buddhists in Jakarta and asked the Acting Governor's directions in order to strengthen cooperation, and be able to contribute to the development of Indonesian society in general.

"Mr. Heru appreciates that we have done the right things, how to guide Buddhists in the direction of working together with elements of the wider community, how to give aspirations and contributions," he expressed.

He went on to say that he asked Buddhists in Indonesia, especially Jakarta, to support creating a conducive atmosphere ahead of the political year.

"Our people give peace and tranquility. Not separate from each other. We introduce the idea of Religion Ministry regarding religious moderation, with clear thoughts and good intentions for Indonesia, but not for the group itself," he said.
