East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar, appreciated the environmental hygiene management program in RW 09, Penggilingan Urban Village, Cakung.

"If every RW in East Jakarta could do this, it won't only reduce the volume of waste which is currently 1,600 tons per day, but could also empower residents," he asserted.
RW 09 Penggilingan Urban Village Chairman, Koiman explained that efforts to eradicate waste and manage the environment had been conducted by his side and residents since 2019. Now, these efforts have produced economical products that can be used for environmental development.
"Products that are already being sold include plants and catfish. We're also developing innovative herbal drinks and water deodorizing formula powders," he stated.
