Channel Normalization on Jalan Kali Pasir Accelerated

The Central Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency (SDA) continues to speed up the water channel normalizatiob on Jalan Kali Pasir, Gg Eretan, RW 10, Kebon Sirih, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

It has been ongoing since May 8, 2023 and is targeted to be completed on May 30, 2023

Menteng Sub-district SDA Executing Unit Head, Mohammad Irfansyah said normalization is conducted to follow up on residenta' aspirations through Musrenbang.

"This channel is malfunctioned because the channel width is only 40-50 centimeters," he said, Tuesday (5/23).

Therefore, the workers widened and deepened the channel by using a u-ditch measuring 60x60 centimeters.

"The normalization involves 15 workers. It has been ongoing since May 8, 2023 and is targeted to be completed on May 30, 2033," he explained.

Thus far, the work progress had touched 30 percent or around 40 meters

"Hopefully, it can minimize inundation optimally when it rains," he hoped.
