The Jakarta Marine and Agriculture Food Security Agency (KPKP) together with the Seribu Islands Regency administration and Maritime and Fisheries Ministry held the Coral Triangle Day action at Tidung Kecil Island Agro Tourism, Tidung Island, South Seribu Islands.

Jakaeta KPKP Agency Head, Suharini Eliawati said the Coral Triangle Day is a real action in conserving and protecting marine ecosystems. It is expected to improve the sustainability of Jakarta's underwater ecosystem.
"It is an interesting activity because we did a lot of actions over the two days," she expressed, Wednesday (6/7).

Various actions were carried out in this activity such as cleaning the coast, planting 100 mangrove seedlings, transplanting coral reefs, restocking 496 nemo fishes, and releasing three turtles.
"Hopefully, students can be more concerned and aware of protecting the marine ecosystem," she hoped.
Seribu Islands Regency Secretary, Eric PZ Lumbun welcomed this activity positively. This commemoration was also deemed as a moment to start a joint movement in preserving marine ecosystems.
"It can also remind us to always preserve the natural environment such as marine ecosystems," he said.
