Transjakarta Bus Burnt in Gatot Subroto

Fire incident, once again, happened to Transjakarta bus. The double decker bus of corridor IX route Pinang Ranti – Pluit burnt in Gatot Subroto heading to Semanggi, South Selatan, on Sunday morning (3/8).

There is no casualty in this incident, passengers had been evacuated and immediately moved to other same route bus

Based on beritajakarta.com observation, there were 50 passengers on that bus with license plate number B 7195 IX. Panic passengers were spilled out of the bus promptly when they realized a fire.

The driver tried to put out the fire using light fire extinguisher which is already provided on the bus. But it did not work out. Luckily one emergency fire incident tackling car arrived at the scene then succeed to extinguish fire.

The Director of PT Transportasi Jakarta, Antonius Kosasih when being contacted by beritajakarta.com, confirmed this incident.

“There is no casualty in this incident, passengers had been evacuated and immediately moved to other same route bus,” he said.

He added that flame came up from behind the bus and successfully extinguished when fire truck arrived at the scene.

“The bus is already taken to Transjakarta pool in order to be checked intensively,” he disclosed.
