Jakarta Fire and Rescuing Handling Department finally managed to extinguish the flames which burned a Wisma Kosgoro building, Jalan MH Thamrin, Menteng, Central Jakarta on Monday (3/9), around 6.30 PM. The situation is under control at 2 AM, Tuesday (3/10).

"After being extinguished, our fireman is doing cooling down at the fire location," said Head of Jakarta Fire and Rescue Handling Department, Subejo, Tuesday (3/10).  

Subejo stated his department as many as 38 fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the flames which destroyed 16th-20th floors of the building.

“The situation was under control at around 2 AM and no casualty reported in the incident,” he expressed.

Meanwhile, Head of Central Jakarta Fire and Rescue Handling Department, Idris told the cause of the fire and its loss is still unknown or being investigated by police.

“Temporary allegation, the cause is electricity short-circuit," he reported.
