The Jakarta Provincial Government is set to hold Idul Adha (Day of Sacrifices) prayers in the City Hall Building's courtyard, Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan, Gambir, Central Jakarta, on 10 Zulhijah 1444 Hijri.

Jakarta KOPRI Acting Secretary, M Arif Rachman said according to City Secretary'd Circular Letter Number: 26/SE/2023, the Jakarta Government will hold Idul Adha prayers and sacrifices with the theme, "Kurban Bukti Cinta Antar Sesama".
"Idul Adha prayers will be opened to the public," he expressed, Tuesday (6/27).

He added prayers at the city and administrative district levels are slated to be carried out in their respective regions.
"Prayer is also held at five mayor's offices and Seribu Islands Regency," he stated.
Previously, the Religion Ministry had set 1 Zulhijah 1444 Hijri to fall on Tuesday (6/20). With the stipulation of the beginning of this Zulhijah, Idul Adha will fall on Thursday (6/29).
"The Isbat meeting has agreed that the 1 Zulhijah is set to fall on Tuesday, June 20. Thus Idul Adha falls on June 29," expressed Religious Minister, Zainut Tauhid Sa'adi after he led the Zulhijah Initial Isbat Assembly, as quoted in the kemenag.go.id press release.
According to him, the court agreed with the decision for two reasons.
"First, we have heard reports from the Islamic Affairs Director that the height of the new moon in Indonesia is already above the horizon, but is still below the criteria for imkanur rukyat set by MABIMS," he stated.
