2,790 Qurban Animals in West Jakarta Have Passed Health Examination

The West Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-agency keeps intensifying inspections on the health of qurban animals. As of June 5 - 14, 2023, a total of 2,790 qurban animals in West Jakarta have undergone health checks.

West Jakarta KPKP Sub-agency Head, Novy C Palit stated his party would still carry out health checks on qurban animals until the celebration of Idul Adha 1444 Hijri later.

"We have examined 2,790 qurban animals from 29 qurban animal shelters," he expressed, Friday (6/16).

15,000 Qurban Animals Predicted to Enter Jakarta

According to him, the qurban animals examined consisted of 2,337 cows, 14 buffaloes, 392 goats, and 47 sheep. Examination carried out included eyes, ears, skin, nails, tongue, and other organs of the animal.

Of the eight sub-districts in West Jakarta, the Cengkareng and Kembangan sub-districts were the ones with the most health checks for qurban animals.

"This aims to ensure that the qurban animals are suitable for consumption and in good health," he stated.
