Collapsed Sheet Pile on Jalan Wijaya IX Being Repaired

The South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is repairing the collapsed sheet  pile on Jalan Wijaya IX, RT 02/05, Melawai, Kebayoran Lama.

Kebayoran Lama Sub-district SDA Executing Unit's Field Coordinator, Yasin said the sheet pile repair at the location is a follow-up to the residents' proposals in the 2023 Musrenbang.

"From the results of the musrenbang, it was agreed that the sheet pile should be repaired as it had collapsed," he expressed, Thursday (7/6).

By End of July, Repairs to Channel on Jalan Jelambar B Completed

He explained sheet pile repairs were being carried out along 20 meters with one meter high and 60 centimeters wide. The construction process has started since last week and is targeted to be completed by the end of this week.

"Every day, we deploy six personnel to the location," he added.

According to him, the collapse of some of the sheet pile was due to the high pressure of the water discharge in the channel during the rainy season.

"Thus far, the work is 90 percent. I hope in the future the channel can function normally again," he stated.
