Central Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency Head, Mustajab inspected the embankment construction site in Gg Mas, RT 15/04, Karet Tengsin, Tanah Abang.

Besides supporting the arrangement of superior areas, the embankment construction also aims to prevent water runoff when the Krukut River water overflows into the neighborhoods of RT 15, 12, 08, and 09 in RW 04.

"There are four RTs that are always affected by overflows of up to 1.5 meters," he expressed, Wednesday (7/12).

He explained the embankment was planned to have 66 meters long and 1.8 meters high.

"We'll install river stones and crevices to strengthen the foundation," he expressed.

To smoothen it, as many as 20 workers would be deployed to the location. But, before that, there were seven semi-permanent buildings belonging to 10 heads of households (KK) in locations that should be demolished.

"Regarding this action, residents have agreed and supported it. We're ready to help them move goods if needed," he stated.

Karet Tengsin Urban Village Head, Hari Ananda uttered the levee construction plan socializarion in arranging this area has been carried out since last February 2023.

"Of 10 households, five will be relocated to Pulo Gebang Flat," he stated.

RT 15 Chairman, Karet Tengsin, Muhammad Ibramsyah admitted he strongly supports the arrangement of priority areas in his area.

"Residents have agreed. This is a real form of our support for regional planning," he said.
