Commission D: Completeness of Flat Facilities must Be Fulfilled

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission D Chairperson says the Public Works and Settlement Agency (PRKP) must equip flats with facilities that are basic needs.

Besides electricity, access to clean water must also be taken into account

According to her, the completeness of these facilities would be an attraction and show the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment in providing decent housing for residents.

"Besides electricity, access to clean water must also be taken into account. Then, roads, places of worship, and markets or places to shop for daily needs," she expressed, Friday (7/14).

She explained the PRKP Agency could coordinate and synergize with related stakeholders in meeting facilities for flat occupants.

"For the provision of places of worship, for istance, it can be synergized with Baznas Bazis, BUMD, and private sector through a corporate social responsibility program," she explained.

She added the availability of adequate facilities is very important, as private developers even really make this a priority, thus the housing built is full of enthusiasts.

"Equally important are educational facilities or schools that are easily accessible to flat residents. It should be a cause for concern," she stated.
