The Jakarta Provincial Government's step to utilize unused land to become a Green Open Space (RTH) has received support from Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Commission D.
I completely agree with this step
Commission D Member, Panji Virgianto strongly supports the Jakarta Government's efforts to multiply green open space amidst limited land.
"I completely agree with this step, as the government has an obligation, open land must meet the target of 30 percent of the total area," he expressed, Sunday (2/5).
This Legislator Supports Land Make Over Under Becakayu Toll RoadTo hit the target, the government should be able to cooperate with the residents who own the land so they can plant trees.
"Every green open space must be added with educational, tourism, arts, and communication facilities. I'm sure many residents will take advantage of them," he stressed.
Another member of the same legislative, Pantas Nainggolan explained that to increase the target of green open space, the government could use the land for social facilities and public facilities (fasom fasum) which would later be allocated for the community.
"This method can also be one of the fulfillment of the RTH target," he explained.
He added the target of fulfilling green open space is aimed at creating spaces that are healthy, beautiful, and have an impact on the physical and spiritual health of the community.
"Don't just comply with the policy, but must have a priority scale that takes precedence. This will later have a positive impact on society," he stated.
