Acting Governor Heru: Schools Must Reduce Plastic Use

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono asked all schools in Jakarta to support the environmentally friendly movement by reducing the use of single-use plastic packaging.

"Reducing the use of plastic materials, children are ensured to bring their own tumblers or supplies. During the visit, he was accompanied by Jakarta TP PKK Head, Mirdiyanti; East Jakarta Mayor, M Anwar; and teaching staff. He immediately went to the IA and IB classrooms when he arrived at SDN Duren Sawit 07 Pagi.

At that time, he seemed to give a box filled with colored pencils to all students. He also seemed to give challenges in the form of questions, singing, and saying Pancasila.

"Make sure children can study at school well, they are still oriented. Also teachers can teach well. Good, they dare to actualize and express themselves good and smart. God Willing, the school will also be child friendly," he stated.
