But until now, there is nobody wants to register ,” Kebayoran Baru Sub-District Head, Edy Suherman expressed Thursday (3/12).He deplored those street vendor’s attitude. Whereas if they want to cooperate, Santa Market’s management can immediately draw the available kiosks so they can be relocated and do their activity normally.
“If they register, we will draw the available kiosks this week ,” he said.
Edy acknowledged those street vendors still need extra time to be located there. Though based on South Jakarta Mayor’s decision that JS 33 will be re-functioned as public facility.
“I had a meeting with Capital Legislative Council to provide them place. We already provide but they ignore it,” he disclosed.
One of street vendors in JS 33, Mahyudin (60), confessed his objection to be relocated in Santa Market because his kiosk will placed on 2nd floor. “I can't go up and down too often. The first six month fee is free, but after that we have to pay expensive monthly rent fee," he disclosed.
