The Seribu Islands Regency Water Resources (SDA) Sub-agency is currently installing massive cubes embankment on the south coast of RT 01/04 Pari Island, South Seribu Islands.

Seribu Islands SDA Sub-agency Head, Hendri expressed the embankment installation was carried out to follow up on residents' aspiration in this year's Musrenbang. The massive cubes installation is about 50 meters long and 1.5 meters high.
"It aims to prevent abrasion, withstand waves, and tides when the west wind is strong," he expressed, Wednesday (7/26).
SDA Sub-agency to Build Embankments at Karet TengsinHe added the work was carried out by 10 Pari Island SDA task force personnel manually since last Thursday (7/13). Currently, the cubes preparation has reached 15 meters and is targeted for completion in mid-August.
"Hopefully, this preparation is completed according to the target, thus erosion on the south coast can be prevented," he uttered.
Pari Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Ardian, welcomed the cubes installation by the SDA Sub-agency in his area. Hopefully, this embankment would be able to withstand waves and sea waves, thus it could prevent coastal abrasion.
"Hopefully, it can anticipate tidal waves," he hoped.
