Dishub: Since Beginning, Mikrotrans is Part of JakLingko

Responding to reports circulating that there had been a change in the name of JakLingko to Mikrotrans, Jakarta Provincial Transportation Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo emphasized that since its existence, Mikrotrans is part of the JakLingko system.

It is not true that JakLingko was removed and replaced with Mikrotrans. Since 2018, Mikrotrans has become a variant of the Transjakarta fleet that has been transformed by the Jakarta Government to be connected to other public transportation.

Mikrotrans is a term for one of the modes of transportation in the form of urban transport cars that are integrated in the JakLingko system. Mikrotrans serves 83 routes and stretches throughout Jakarta. Mikrotrans is here to make it easier for people to reach public transportation from their homes or offices so they can switch to using public transportation when on the move.

Meanwhile, based on Gubernatorial Regulation No. 68/2021 on the Implementation of an Integrated and Integrated Transportation System, JakLingko is an integrated system that supports policies to increase the use of mass public transportation and limit private motorized vehicles.

To increase the use of public transportation, JakLingko integrates various modes of public transportation at once. Integration is carried out by realizing connectivity of Jakarta's modes and transportation infrastructure and facilities, including Microtrans.

"In accordance with Gubernatorial Regulation No. 68/2021, the implementation of transportation integration is carried out on MRT, LRT, Transjakarta transportation services, feeder transportation services, transportation services, and/or other supports to support JakLingko system," he expressed, in Jakarta in Jakarta Government's press release, Thursday (7/27).

JakLingko realizes operational system integration which includes infrastructure, services/routes, data, and information, as well as tariffs and payment systems. This integration is presented to create convenience and comfort for people in mobility.

"Microtrans as feeder transport, is integrated with other modes of public transportation, such as MRT, LRT, Transjakarta buses, and KRL, thus people can continue their trips easily," he stated.
