PT JakLingko Indonesia together with Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta has implemented a new business process in the form of One Man One Ticket and mandatory tap in and out for all passengers who will travel using the service.
Always make sure customers have a minimum balance before using Transjakarta services
The new business process which started on Friday (10/7) is intended to enable operators and the Jakarta administration to manage more accurate passenger travel data, thus they can make transportation policies that make it easier for the public.
PT JakLingko Indonesia Corporate Secretary, Kevin Haikal said that regarding the implementation of this new business process, his party and operators have carried out socialization through training and distributing guidebooks to 4,232 officers of bus stops and stations.
City - Labor Unions Collaborate on Transition of Equitable Public Transportation in Jakarta"Socialization for passengers through social media channels and print media at bus stops or stations," he expressed.
If passengers experience a blocked card when they want to enter the bus stop or station, they can take the following steps:
1. Make sure every trip is tapped
in and out2. If the previous trip did not tap out, the card will show an 'error' message the card has been used, please use another card”, you can do the following steps:
- Reset the card (MRT and LRT are done at the counter; Transjakarta taps twice on the reader)
- Make sure the balance on the card is sufficient according to the ticket price for the next passenger trip
- To unblock, the farthest previous trip fee will be deducted from the passenger card
"People can also enjoy Integration Tariffs through Electronic Money Cards (KUE) of a maximum of Rp 10,000 for three hours for multimodal trips for Transjakarta, MRT Jakarta, and LRT Jakarta," he stated.
Transjakarta Secretary Division Head, Anamg Rizkani Noor explained that Transjakarta customers need to paste KUE when getting on and off the bus. It is implemented in line with the implementation of the tariff for the integration of public transportation modes in Jakarta, which is effective today.
“If the customer does not paste the card, either when going up or down, the card will be blocked. They need to make a reset and the previous trip fee will be charged on the next trip," he explained.
To unblock the card, they reset the card at the gates available at all bus stops and tap on buses in all non-BRT fleets.
Aside that, they need to have a minimum balance of Rp 5,000 to enjoy Transjakarta services. If the balance is insufficient, customers cannot use Transjakarta services, except for free services.
"So, always make sure customers have a minimum balance before using Transjakarta services and paste the card when getting on and off the bus," he stated.
