This activity is an introductory tour or familiarization trip (famtrip) held to participants of the 2023 Indonesian Cultural Arts Scholarship (BSBI) program for Foreign Ministry.
Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Head, Andhika Permata said as many as 45 participants of 2023 BSBI were invited to experience the charm of Jakarta's marine tourism by witnessing firsthand the natural and cultural wealth of Seribu Islands, on August 15-16, 2023.

"The natural beauty of Seribu Islands combined with its history and cultural heritage provides the perfect space for cultural arts practitioners to gain inspiration. This activity aims to facilitate a dynamic exchange of ideas and creativity, enabling global cultural arts actors to discover the allure of Seribu Islands into their works," he expressed, in the Jakarta Provincial Government's press release, Tuesday (8/15).
While in Seribu Islands, these cultural performers had the opportunity to visit several islands, such as Onrust Island, Cipir Island, and Kelor Island, to interact with the local community, explore marine conservation and the history of Seribu Islands.
They were also invited to experience an overnight stay on Pantara Island which has clear sea water, beautiful white sand beaches, and comfortable resorts equipped with fun facilities and marine sports activities.
Hopefully, it would be able to bridge Jakarta's culture with cultures from various countries, encourage creative dialogue, and create works that present interpretations by art and cultural actors of Jakarta's cultural heritage and the charm of Seribu Islands.
Not only that, art and cultural actors who take part in this activity can also share their experiences and insights through digital/social media platforms to their followers and fans about the combination of art, culture, and nature in Seribu Islands. So, in the future, and more people will know about and travel to Seribu Islands.
