Let's Enliven Reggae Music Festival on Pramuka Island

The Seribu Islands Tourism and Creative Economy Sub-agency (Parekraf) is about to hold a Reggae Music Festival at Pramuka Island Stadium, North Seribu Islands, which falls on August 19, 2023.

We'll present well-known reggae musicians

Seribu Islands Parekraf Sub-agency Head, Sonti Pangaribuan said the Reggae Music Festival is presented as a form of promoting tourism in this region to local and foreign tourists.

"One form of our promotion is by holding a music festival. We'll present well-known reggae musicians from the country, exhibitions and bazaars of various Seribu Islands creative economy products," she expressed, Monday (8/14).

She explained there will be musicians performed, namely Ras Muhammad, Melanie and PPK, Rafi Gimbal, Nath the Lion, Monkey Booth, Denny Frust, Gangstarasta, Gasruk, Pasir Pantai, Condrad, Peron Satu, Rasjiman, Echa and Equal Jam, as well as Farid Putra Mbah Surip.

"Hopefully, this event can cure the homesickness of reggae music lovers," she hoped.

Her party would also hold a giveaway in the form of 10 round-trip tickets for five winners. The requirements are to follow the Instagram account @pulauseribu.tourism, then give likes and comments on festival posts. Then, if participant was chosen, they should make nstagram content and tag or mention the account.

"I thank the regent who has supported this festival," she stressed.

Panggang Island Urban Village Head, Muhammad Fakih Burhanudin supports this festival and he will invite locals to enliven it. Including also providing boat facilities for residents who live outside Pramuka Island.

"Besides boosting tourist visits, it is also a form of entertainment for the island community," he stated.
