He furthered, the existence of RTH nowadays is only 10 percent due to building construction. Not only that, Jakarta is also in the middle. From the upstream, there are Depok, Puncak and so on. All rivers that flow to Jakarta are from West Java.
"Urban forest is transformed into concrete forest, river becomes residential and occupied by street vendors. It shows the damage in our nature," he exclaimed.
As a result, Jakarta would be surrounded by flood which come from the overflowing rivers during rainy season.
"Besides flood, the tidal wave will also hit our city from the north and west sides. The ground also decreases between 4-6 centimeters each year," he uttered.
Hence, Djarot appeals the citizens to aware and care the surrounding environment.
"I just want all people to think if there is no a significant progress in the next 20 years ahead, we don't know what will happen next," he finished.
