Cipayung Needs Waste Disposal Site

Due to there is no a temporary waste disposal site (TPS) in Cipayung Sub-District, East Jakarta, the land that occupied by 228,536 residents are still faced by trash problem. 

Initially, we plan to acquire a 2,000-square meters wide land that located in RT 02/04 Setu, precisely at Jalan Bina Marga, Ceger. But, it was cancelled due to problem of land ownership

Cipayung Sub-District Head, Iin Mutmainah said her side has attempted to acquire land to be used as a waste disposal site. But, it is not realized due to constrained by land certificate and price that requested by the owners.

"Initially, we plan to acquire a 2,000-square meters wide land that located in RT 02/04 Setu, precisely on Jalan Bina Marga, Ceger. But, it was cancelled due to problem of land ownership," she explained, Monday (3/16).

Nevertheless, the land acquisition is still being carried out. But the owner asked high compensation which is not compliance with the taxable value of property (NJOP). "We're still doing approaching with the owner so far. Thus they may willing to be paid in accordance with NJOP," she told.

As a solution to reduce waste, the Cleanliness Sub-Department was instructed to prepare the mobile waste disposal service. The waste produced by locals will be transported using cart or small truck and then continued to the dump trucks on Jalan Raya Mabes Hankam, next to Ceger JORR Toll road.
