Ahok: 2015 Budget can Be Used in April

Jakarta Governor, Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama revealed that the 2015 City Budget (APBD) is predicted to be disbursed in the upcoming April. Ahok said, the budget evaluation will be discussed by Local Budget Drafter Team (TPAD) along with the Home Ministry and Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD).

“The decision is not my authority, it based on the law mandatory. The ministry gave 7 days to both parties to discuss the budget. If there is no agreement or solution, I will issue the Gubernatorial Regulation and continued to the ministry, so don’t worry,” uttered Ahok.
Previously, Jakarta Inspectorate Head, Lasro Marbun explained if the Gubernatorial Regulation on 2014 budget has been issued, the budget ceilings allocation will be adjusted with regional working unit (SKPD). For instance is education allocation reaching 20 percent, Health 10 percent, etc.
“Such budget is prioritized in accordance with governor’s vision and mission, such as education, health, residential, micro-business, transportation, water channel, and village row program,” he explained.
Ahok added that its budget application has implemented e-budgeting system, thus it can be monitored by citizens.
“We are optimistic the budget could already be used prior to mid-April. If the ministry has approved the amendment budget, Jakarta Asset and Financial Management Body (BPKAD) will sign funds budget user (DPA). That means, the budget can be disbursed,” he disclosed.
