Scores of Trees Alongside Jalan Panjang Pruned

The local City Parks and Cemetery Department officers have pruned and cut down 70 angsana trees along Jalan Panjang, Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, Tuesday (3/17).

47 trees are pruned. It is done due to its trunk is very bushy and prone to fall. While 23 other trees must be cut down and leaves up to 7 meters long

Head of West Jakarta Parks and Cemetery Sub-Department, Djauhari Arifin said besides pruning, some trees are also cut down in accordance with applicable rules.

Hundreds of Trees Prone to Fall Cut Down

“Of the 70 trees, as many as 47 trees are pruned. It is done due to its trunk is very bushy and prone to fall. While 23 other trees must be cut down and leaves up to 7 meters long,” he told, Tuesday (3/17).

He added another pruning would also be carried out around the Kedoya Elok Apartment.
