Pras Monitors Emission Tests at City Council's Parking Yard

Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, directly monitored the emission test for vehicles in the yard of the City Council building, Jalan Kebon Sirih, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (8/23) afternoon.

This is free of charge

According to him, the emission test which has been held since August 22, 2023 is a follow-up to the results of the meeting when receiving the aspirations of residents a few days ago.

"Every vehicle that enters must undergo emission test first," he expressed.

Air Quality in Jakarta this Morning is in Medium Category

He aserted all vehicles in Jakarta were required to undergo emission test due to Jakarta's air pollution conditions.

"Hopefully, this step will improve Jakarta's air quality in the future. However, if there is no impact, we will employ several other methods," he hoped.

He asserted it also applied to the official vehicles belong to the council members.

"We also want residents to work together with the local government to tackle air pollution in Jakarta," he asserted.

His party also implemented regulations for employees working in the City Council building not to drive vehicles on Wednesday every week.

Aside that, Jakarta residents were also urged to undergo emission tests of their vehicles in the courtyard of the City Council building.

"This is free of charge. So, come here to undergo emission tests," he stated.
