The Jakarta Legislative Council (DPRD) Secretariat together with the Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) conducted emission tests for two- and four-wheeled vehicles belonging to the State Civil Apparatus (ASN), PJLPs, and experts in the parking lot of Jakarta DPRD building, Tuesday (8/22).

If it brings a good impact, it will be continued

Jakarta DPRD Secretary, Augustinus said the emission test was held in the parking lot of the council building from August 22 to 24, 2023. It was aimed to deal with air pollution in Jakarta.

"We have also instructed that all apparatus, PJLPs, and experts on duty within the City Hall and Jakarta DPRD to conduct emission tests of their vehicles," he expressed.

His party had also implemented a work from home (WFH) and work from office (WFO) system for employees on duty within the Jakarta DPRD Secretariat.

"50 percent of WFH-WFO implementation has started this week and 75 percent during the ASEAN Summit," he explained.

His party also implemented a ban on driving vehicles for ASN, PJLP, and experts on Wednesday every week.

"Hence, we urge them to take mass transportation to work on Wednesday," he explained.

Aside that, his party would evaluate the implementation of 50 percent WFH and an appeal not to drive vehicles on Wednesdays every week.

"If it brings a good impact, it will be continued. But, if is unoptimal, other steps will be taken to improve air quality in Jakarta," he stressed.
