Dishub to Apply Traffic Diversion on 29 Roads for ASEAN Summit in September 2023

The Jakarta Provincial Government applied traffic engineering management on 29 roads for the smooth implementation of the 43rd ASEAN Summit which takes place on September 5-7, 2023 in Jakarta.
Residents are urged to do their activities by using public transportation

Jakarta Dishub Agency Head, Syafrin Liputo stated during the ASEAN Summit, with details of the side events taking place on September 2-4 and the main event on September 5-7, the delegates would stay at 18 hotels in Jakarta and take part in a series of events in five locations, namely State Palace, St. Regis Hotel, ASEAN Secretariat Office, Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), and Gelora Bung Karno City Forest Platform (GBK). By doing so, the Car Free Day (CFD) along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman - MH Thamrin on September 3 will be abolished.
Therefore, the public is urged not to carry out any activities in the area. If they want to do activities, they are prompted to use public transportation, such as MRT which will have an added trip schedule, and Transjakarta which will continue to operate normally.
"During the ASEAN Summit, residents are urged to do their activities by using public transportation. Because, once we use private vehicles, it will cause high traffic density and congestion. Hopefully, this condition won't happen because we receive foreign guests, so we hope that everything will go well," he asserted.
