Kampung Rambutan Terminal Opens Mobile KIR Test Service

Taking part in the KIR test will automatically fix air quality in the capital

The Pulogadung Motor Vehicle Testing Service Unit (UP PKB), East Jakarta, intensifies vehicle-roadworthiness test (KIR) service at Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal. It is held every Monday to Friday and aims to overcome global warming and air pollution in Jakarta.

Pulogadung UP PKB Head, Edy Sufa'at expressed his party had coordinated with the terminal management and distributed pamphlets to push public transport to undergo a KIR test at the terminal.

Air Quality in Jakarta this Morning is in Medium Category

"Taking part in the KIR test will automatically fix air quality in the capital," he expressed, Monday (8/28).

His party pushes a door-to-door service at the terminal in a bid to reduce queues at Pulogadung UP PKB office which can reach an average of 300 vehicles per day. Except, Saturday is only about 100 vehicles.

The KIR test service's tariff is the same as for regular services, which is Rp 67,000 for general passenger cars and Rp 92,000 for goods cars and buses.

"If you have already paid online, the applicant only needs to come to the service location with proof of registration and payment," he stated.
