Reducing Air Pollution, Distamhut Intensifies Watering Plants

To meet daily water needs, we work closely with Paljaya

The Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency (Distamhut) ensures that trees and plants in Jakarta continue to grow green amidst conditions of pollution and prolonged drought.

Air Quality in Jakarta this Morning is in Medium Category

Jakarta Distamhut's Green Belt Division Head, Herlina Merinda said the efforts made by his party to reduce air pollution in Jakarta were by continuing to ornamental plants on roads and other public facilities.

"To meet daily water needs, we work closely with Paljaya in the availability of treated or odorless water for irrigation," she expressed, Wednesday (8/23).

She explained the watering was concentrated in the Palace area, on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat or Patung Kuda (Horse Statue) up to Senayan Roundabout. Every day, his party deploys 10 units of tank cars.

She hoped that this action would make plants grow and produce good oxygen for humans.

"Let's do our best together to improve air quality in Jakarta," she stressed.
