Remember! Emission Raids Start Tomorrow

The Jakarta Provincial Government together with Polda Metro Jaya will start taking action against vehicles that have not or have failed emissions tests starting September 1, 2023.

There are 335 car workshops and 106 motorbike workshops in Jakarta that are ready to hold this emission test

The sanctions are by the provisions of Law Number 22/2009 on Road Traffic and Transportation in the form of a fine, namely Rp 250,000 for motorbikes and Rp 500,000 for cars.

Jakarta Environment Agency (LH) Head, Asep Kuswanto encouraged the whole community to undergo emission tests of their private vehicles over three years. "There are 335 car workshops and 106 motorbike workshops in Jakarta that are ready to hold this emission test," he expressed, Thursday (8/31).

He explained emission test locations could be searched via the e-Emission Test application or JAKI application by typing "emisi" in the search field. You can also open the website https://ujiemisi.jakarta.go.id.

He added the fines for vehicles that have not or failed the emission test are one of the policies of the Jakarta Government in dealing with declining air quality.

"The Provincial Government continues to improve air quality in Jakarta through various means, one of which is to enforce the law through emission raids that must meet quality standards for moving emissions," he stated.
