451 Families of Marunda Flat will Be Relocated to Nagrak flat

As many as 451 families who are residents of Blocks C1-C5 Marunda Flats will be relocated to Nagrak Flats.

They are cooperatively willing to be relocated for safety reasons

The relocation was carried out after the Marunda flat roof collapsed on August 30, 2023. No casualties in this incident.

Jakarta Public Housing and Settlement Agency (PRKP) Acting Head, Retno Sulistyaningrum said the UPRS II had held further socialization on Thursday (8/31) after the initial socialization was in March 2022. However, the relocation plan was postponed, as the Nagrak Flat was used as a place for isolating Covid-19 patients.

"After the roof collapse incident, another socialization is held again to the residents of Cluster C, namely Blocks C1-C5. They are cooperatively willing to be relocated for safety reasons," he expressed, Wednesday (9/6).

He detailed as many as 349 families had drawn lots to get units in the Nagrak Flats. Meanwhile, 102 others will undergo the process to obtain units the next day.

Currently, they are starting to transport their goods gradually. Hopefully, all Block C residents will move in this September.

"Some of them have moved goods facilitated by UPRS II, UPRS III, the ranks of North Jakarta Mayor, and Satpol PP," he uttered.

He added the PRKP Agency plans to revitalize the Marunda Flat because the Cluster C building in the Marunda Flat is no longer structurally feasible according to the results of research by the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN).
