The joy and pride of the various assignments that echoed Betawi culture over the past year are still remembered in the hearts of the Abang None 2022.

With a bright smile, Abang Jakarta 2022, Andika Permata said that he was happy to have the space to represent Betawi culture in front of the President of Indonesia, high-ranking state officials, and ambassadors from friendly countries at the "Istana Berkebaya" event which was held in the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace on August 6, 2023.

“In the past year, we have received many extraordinary assignments. For us, the most memorable thing was representing Betawi culture at the State Palace. It was the first time in history that Abang None Jakarta could perform in the face of the President," he explained, Friday (9/8).

For him, this moment was unforgettable, because his dream since childhood was to see and perform at the State Palace, which he had only seen on television.

"At that moment, we not only performed, but we were able to convey the aspirations of Jakarta's youth to him (President)," he explained.

Not only that, the opportunity to welcome state dignitaries at the 43rd ASEAN Summit on September 5-7, 2023 also had a deep impression. He felt proud because he could be involved in a global event that had an important agenda for Indonesia's development, including Jakarta.

On the other hand, None Jakarta 2022, Zaida Jameela Heinrich also felt honored to be able to participate in these important events.

According to him, this opportunity would not have been possible without the support and hard work of Jakarta Acting Governor Heru Budi Hartono and Jakarta Regional National Crafts Council (Dekranasda) Chairperson, Mirdiyanti Heru.

"We thank you because our dreams of showing Betawi culture at important events in front of state guests can come true. This is inseparable from the support and hard work of both of them. Thank you for what you have done for Jakarta and its residents," he uttered.

Andika and Zaida hope that even though they were no longer serving as Abnon Jakarta, the next Abang None could continue to inspire and convey the aspirations of Jakarta's youth. Moreover, it also continues to actively promote Betawi culture at the national and global levels.
