Heru Leads Planting of Rare Fruit Trees in Ciganjur

Jakarta Acting Governor, Heru Budi Hartono together with South Jakarta Forkopimda officials planted 200 fruit trees which are in the rare category on Jalan Sirsak, RT 10/04, Ciganjur Urban Village, Jagakarsa Sub-district.

They can pick the fruits for free

Its planting was carried out on the 9,000-meter-square-wide land owned by the Jakarta Parks and City Forest Agency. The local fruit trees planted included kecapi, buni, gowok, and others.

"Today we plant rare plants. Thank you for being our patron, always together with Forkopimda to plant trees," he expressed, at the planting site, Friday (9/15).

He asked that more trees be planted, namely fruit trees that are categorized as rare, thus they are better known to the public. Aside that, its existence made it easier for officers to care for and preserve it.

"Residents can also see what types of trees are planted here. They can pick the fruits for free when they do jogging and exercise in the morning," he stressed.
